Spectacular coastal villa overlooking the nearby white sandy beach at Tongson Bay on the much sought after northeast coast. Set in an elevated position on the rugged coastline with breathtaking sea views from every room in the villa. Enjoy the sense of peace and quiet in this very private place in the knowledge you are close to Choeng Moen where you will find several beachside bars, seafood restaurants and one or two luxury hotels. A 10 minute drive will take you to Bangrak and Bophut's charming "Fisherman's Village" both with bars and many excellent restaurants. Chaweng, the islands main tourist centre with numerous shops, restaurants and vibrant nightlife is 15 minutes.

Designed in contemporary Thai-Balinese style this recently completed luxury villa is finished to a very high standard and includes impressive hand carved solid teak entry doors together with numerous upgrades. The rich teakwood flooring blends perfectly with the elegant designer furnishings and unique Asian artworks throughout.

The villa has four spacious master bedrooms, all with private sea view balconies. Three of the bedrooms are located on the first floor and the fourth at pool level with access to the sunbathing terrace. The rooms are beautifully furnished with king size beds and equipped with personal safes and multi-channel plasma screen satellite TV/DVD. All four en-suite bathrooms have sea view bathtubs; walk-in rainwater showers and finished with granite topped hardwood cabinets.

The open plan living area has comfortable oversize couches and armchairs with Thai silk scatter cushions where you can sit and relax in comfort, enjoy the fabulous sea views or watch a favourite movie on the 42 inch plasma TV/DVD/CD home theatre. The dining area features a custom solid teakwood table with seating for eight. The separate western style contemporary kitchen and breakfast area comes fully equipped with all modern conveniences including oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher microwave together with fine glass and dinnerware.

Fully glazed double doors open up the living area to a fabulous pool terrace with cushioned sun loungers, parasols and alfresco dining set. The oversize 48sqm infinity edge swimming pool flows effortlessly into the vast ocean below. A poolside Thai gazebo provides a shaded refuge and casual seating area, the perfect setting to enjoy magnificent sunsets with a glass of chilled white wine.

To the rear of the living area is access to a lush tropical landscaped garden containing a multitude of colourful flowers, shrubs and trees, a wonderful contrast to the expansive ocean views opposite.

All rooms have ceiling fans and the constant sea breeze ensures the villa is very comfortable throughout the year.

Villa 36 - This villa is certainly 5 star with everything you could want or need including a supply of fresh drinking water to tv's and dvd's in each room (although we found it impossible to drag ourselves away from the incredible view whilst in the infinity pool). This villa is situated in a very quiet, serene bay. Local transport from the villa to Chaweng (main shopping, tourist hub) is approx 400 THB and takes 10 minutes. An extended stay could warrant hiring a vehicle if you are keen to take on the local drivers...The villa manager and housekeeper were attentive and friendly and happy to help whilst working away cleaning, gardening etc without being noticed and they prepared breakfast each morning with fresh fruit, bread to toast with condiments, yoghurt and freshly brewed coffee at 8am.
There was some construction going ahead with new villas below but they do not obstruct the incredible view by any means, and in Thai fashion limited machinery meant is was relatively quiet.
The beach is beautiful, soft sand and clear water, and uncrowded (no more than 8 people we counted on any one day) although there is a steep walk down and back up which I wouldn't recommend for those with health problems or the very young or the elderly. The infinity pool is very private, as are each of the bedrooms - wait till you see the master bedroom - you could do laps in the spa bath!! The views from each bathroom, especially the master are all incredible!
If you looking to get away for a quiet holiday in a location a short 10 minute trip from the hub of Chaweng, without compromising your comfort - welcome to villa 36 on Samui!!

Villa 36 - The villa is located in one of if not the best locations on the island. Private and beautiful natural surrounds and so close to the main beach, Chaweng. We could not have had better service from the staff, so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The villa is a five star establishment and I am proud to recommend it to close friends and family.

Villa 36 - The property is in an excellent position looking over the bay. The villa is not overlooked by other properties and the infinity pool is very private. The quality of the furnishings, etc. is first class and assuming that a car is used the villa is well located for good quality bars and restaraunts. The overiding lasting impression provided by a caring host is the genuine friendliness of himself and the housekeeper who is a valuable asset.
