This stylish villa is located within the exclusive Kirikayan Resort, an area of undulating lush green countryside with magnificent views over the island's beautiful and mountainous interior. The resort is set back from the coastal town of Maenam, within walking distance of the golden sandy beach dominating the picturesque coastline.

Three bedrooms and 320sqm of living space make this an ideal villa for a family or a group of friends. The villa has two separate pavilions in a courtyard setting with lush tropical gardens surrounding an infinity edge swimming pool and a traditional Thai sala. In one pavilion a large open plan living area containing a lounge with comfortable sofas, a 42" plasma satellite TV/DVD, a formal dining table with seating for seven and a fully equipped Western style kitchen. Included in this pavilion is the maid's quarter with a single bed and en suite facilities, ideal for a children's nanny or additional guest accommodation if required.

The second, a double storey pavilion contains three spacious en suite bedrooms. Two double bedrooms at pool level with king size double beds and en suite bathroom. Upstairs, the master suite has a king size double bed, an en suite bathroom, a separate lounge with a TV/DVD and a convertible sofa bed offering additional sleeping arrangements for younger children. There are spectacular views over surrounding coconut plantations from the upper floor balcony. The villa has been tastefully furnished in the Thai contemporary style with colourful wall hangings and accessories. All the bedrooms are equipped with satellite TV/DVD.

Villa 43 - My family and I travelled to Thailand in October 2008 for our annual holiday. Having never experienced Thailand before I did not really know what to expect. I have to say that this Villa is amazing!! The Accomodation and facilities are nothing short of out of this world! The Villa itself is clean, tastefully decorated and with beautiful views from every window or balcony. It is located within a community of villas up in the hills about 1/2 a mile off the main road in Maenam with 24 hour security, Gym, Health Spa and a superb Restaurant. The villa has it's very own infinity pool which is cleaned every other day by the staff at Kirikayan who quite frankly can't do enough for you. We loved Kirikayan and cant wait to go back.

Villa 43 - We chose this villa as it is part of a resort that had excellent reviews on Tripadvisor and it totally lived up to our high expectations. So many of the private villas are situated in isolated locations on dirt tracks, whereas this resort is a short walk from the beach and is set in beautiful tropical gardens with great views of the hills behind. The villa itself is modern and tastefully decorated and the set up worked really well for our family. The staff at the resort were all eager to please and it was a big bonus being able to use the fabulous main pool which has the best view I have ever seen whilst swimming , and a daily happy hour at the swim up bar ! The extra upstairs lounge was great for the kids to have their own area for watching dvds from the free dvd library in reception next door, leaving the main lounge free for the adults. It was also very reassuring to have a 24 hr security guard sitting just outside the villa.

We decided to hire a car but there was a shuttle service operated by the hotel to Maenam beach where there are also some great little bars and restaurants. Chaweng is about a 15 min drive away and is great to visit, but it was always good to come back to the peace and tranquillity of Kirikayan. We will definitely go back if we have the chance.
