This brand new elite one bedroom pool villa is one of 13 identical properties among a total of 26 set one step back from the soft sandy beach at Plai Laem. The villa is walled and entirely private, and is set within landscaped communal areas that include a large pool and surrounding sun bathing terrace with comfortable sun loungers and parasols, and a shallow children's pool area.

Colourful tropical plants and shrubs within the villa and its surrounding walkways create a natural and peaceful environment. Inside, there is a ceiling fan in the living area, air conditioning to the bedroom, a personal safe, Wi-Fi internet access, flat screen cable TV and an iPod dock for guests' own musical preferences.

The villa has been completed to the highest level of stylish decor, with contemporary furnishings, natural finishes in soft colours and local wall art. The villa's private pool is 6m x 3m and has a beautiful waterfall feature and sun bathing terrace complete with sun loungers. Enjoy pure tropical-style outdoor living with the al fresco lounge and dining area and the bedroom opening onto the pool and terrace. There is comfortable seating and a dining table for two in the living area, and the compact kitchen has a ceramic hob, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster, and is equipped for two people.

The master bedroom with a king size double bed is spacious and stylishly furnished with built-in wardrobes providing ample storage and hanging space. Its beautiful en suite bathroom is a fine example of contemporary Asian design with enormous mirrors, twin glass washbasins and a large walk-in rain shower with feature LED coloured lighting.

The north east coast of Koh Samui is considered to be one of the best on the island, and all the villas are just a few steps to the beach and a further two minute stroll to a neighbouring boutique hotel with a beachside bar and restaurant. The local village of Plai Laem is a short walk away and boasts Koh Samui’s largest buddhist temple. There are several excellent bars and restaurants in the village, together with a mini supermarket and ATM machine. The main tourist town of Chaweng, with its many restaurants, bars and other entertainment options is within 15 minutes, as is the interesting Fisherman's Village at Bophut whose Chinese style chop houses lend it a quaint and exotic charm.

During certain times of the year the sea recedes over 100 meters, at other times the water is shallow and not suitable for swimming. It's a short five minute drive to Choeng Mon and one of the best swimming beaches on the island.

Villa 86 - Our Stay at Samui Island Villas was just idyllic in a word. Surroundings and villas were just beautiful, extremely well maintained and very private – perfect for a romantic getaway. The staff were very friendly and happy to assist in every way possible. Choeng Mon and Chaweng Beach were both easily accessible by motor bike or hire car. I have no hesitation in recommending Samui Island Villas as the perfect tropical getaway.

Villa 86 - "Quiet, Peaceful, Luxurious sanctuary."
Our villa was neat and clean on arrival. Everything worked perfectly. We were looking for a peaceful place with good amenities and our wishes were fulfilled to our utmost satisfaction. The staff was helpful and friendly. We made our own breakfast and it was easy to go shopping in the 7/11 store close by. It was very interesting to live right among the local people who were also very friendly and smiling.

Villa 86 - The most friendly staff, beautiful villa and complex with excellent pool facilities. With the use of a hire car it was easy to see surrounding areas and beaches and although the complex beach was probably not the best, it was still very nice and the sea was lovely to swim in. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we would definitely visit again.

Villa 86 - We stayed at Villa 86 for two weeks in November 2011 and had a very relaxing and pleasant holiday. It was our first visit to Koh Samui and we were glad to have chosen Plai Laem over the more crowded Chaweng area which was our other option. The villa itself was in excellent condition and very clean. The staff were friendly and accommodating and helped us out with organising tours and car / bike rentals. The villa pool is not very big (compared to other villas we have stayed at in Bali) however the common pool more than makes up for this. One down side to staying here was the fact that the villas do not have a restaurant and this means a small walk for meals if you don't have any transport. There is a convenience store not far away for breakfast needs and the restaurants are a little further down. Choeng Mon beach is the nearest beach and the management offers a free shuttle service there which we made use of once. We had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend this villa to anyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

Villa 86 - Excellent, everything that I had expected, beautiful villa very clean and in an excellent position opposite the main pool. We enjoyed the peace and quite that the area brought and we both found the local beach was beautiful and nice, being away from the tourist’s beaches. Although not suitable for swimming but that did not bother us as we enjoyed the pools.
The local village, we enjoyed the temples and local places to eat which served excellent food which was recommended by Tum at the villa's reception.
The staff could not do enough and they make you feel so welcome and we will be returning.
So 10/10 if you want quiet and peaceful location, back to how Samui was many years ago.

Villa 86 - We stayed here for a week and the villa is exactly as it appears on the website. Lovely and clean and the staff are warm and welcoming. We enjoyed lots of massages in the room and the rain shower was fantastic. The bonus was your own swimming pool which was great for late night dips. The local beach is not for swimming but good beaches are not that far away. Saying that a car would be good. We took taxi's to the other locations which made it easy to get around, but a bit more expensive. A short stroll down the road is the local market, great for fresh produce. We brought lots of fantastic fruit to enjoy for breakfast each day. if you are after something away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng and amongst the locals then this is your place.

Villa 86 - A wonderful place to stay; the facilities were luxurious and comfortable. If hoping for a night in I would suggest borrowing a DVD as most of the TV channels were in languages other than English. Regardless of this, the staff were all friendly and offered assistance whenever it was needed. We organised a four day car hire through the villas which was affordable and made very easy by staff; the car was delivered to reception. The location was also ideal; after a short walk we were at a 7/11, a little bit further: restaurants, the shuttles from the Villas to Chaweng beach were convenient and the Song Taw route was also close by which made getting around the island even without a car easy. I would recommend Samui Island Villas to anyone looking for a convenient, relaxing place to say at Koh Samui.

Villa 86 - The welcome pick up at the airport was there waiting for us and on time, greeting at reception was good and a quick check-in.
The villa was great, nice location, good facilities, the large main pool was lovely, nice to have your own private plunge pool in the villa and great as the villa was very private. The space in the villa was of a high standard and we liked the open plan layout, the bathroom was spacious although the lightning/illuminated rain shower lights didn't work!
Only slight moan was that you are not able to control the pool waterfall ourselves as this got quite annoying when running constantly all day except for the hour rest at midday so maybe look at a few more rest periods?? (Just a suggestion).
We would definitely recommend the villa to other travelers due to the reasonable price and value for money along with the high standards and quality of the site and villas. We really enjoyed our week with you! We would return again.

Villa 86 - We were very impressed and happy with the Villa. It was equipped and furnished with modern amenities and clustered in a tranquil environment and the Villa was clean, comfortable and private. The staff were very courteous and helpful and ensure that all our needs are attended to. A great place to stay to unwind and be away from the hustle and bustle of the city area. The only set back is that the beach near the Villa is not as beautiful as other beaches and not recommended for swimming. We definitely had a very relaxing and pleasant stay at the Villa

Villa 86 - Peaceful and Private - We really enjoyed our stay, the villa was very nicely designed and appointed. It was very quiet when we were there but that was just what we wanted. We hired a motor bike for the duration of our stay and were out and about most days. There are two mini marts within easy walking distance so you can cook simple meals or just go an enjoy the delicious and cheap dining options that are everywhere. The beach where the villas are is not suitable for swimming but you don't need to go far to find somewhere lovely and it was fun checking out new places from day to day. The staff were very sweet and helpful

Villa 86 - We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very attentive to our needs but not intrusive on our privacy and were able to advise us whenever we asked for information. The villa was spotless and we felt very much at home from day one. Importantly for us it was very peaceful and relaxing, away from the touristy hustle and bustle. Nonetheless the location is close to the main tourist areas and it was also good to be near the local inhabitants and to observe their simpler lifestyles. We commend the villas as a great place to unwind and relax in total privacy.
