Set in a secure walled and large landscaped garden the villa is a stylish meld of contemporary with traditional Thai architecture which, with the other villas in this small beach front community, creates an attractive and striking estate. The beach at Laem Noi is secluded but only a short distance from the islands main road and offers views over to the Ang Thong National Marine Park. The villa is just a 30 minute drive from Ko Samui's International Airport, and also from Chaweng, the main tourist centre.

Once inside the impressive gated entrance to the villa, you arrive at a private courtyard garden, and a pathway leading you through a white archway and on to the two living pavilions. There is a free standing store room and laundry area to the left of the pathway, which runs between several planted garden areas and directly into the open plan living area.

The living space is large, and has a high vaulted wooden ceiling and contrasting white walls. The sitting area has comfortable water hyacinth furniture and large doors which open out directly onto the pool. To the side of the sitting area is the dining room, which has a glass topped wood table and chairs and behind it is the fully equipped modern kitchen with wood cabinets and black granite worktops. To the left of the sitting area is a bathroom with shower, and beyond that a further lounge. A stunning red and gold wall painting above a bamboo sofa gives this area a definite Chinese mood. Folding wooden doors allow it to be separated from the rest of the living space for some extra privacy.

The outdoor sala, just beyond this area, has sun-loungers for you to work on your tan. The L-shaped swimming pool wraps around the sala and the stepping stone path runs along the side of the pool out onto a large grassed area of the garden and then through the private gate onto the beach.

The other living pavilion is a light contemporary designed room with a sloping glass roof, floating staircase and galleried landing. The white floor tiles contrast perfectly with the wooden stairs and the choice of furniture. A large orange sofa sits opposite a built in satellite TV/DVD/CD system which occupies the space under the stairs. The sloping glass roof runs across one end of the room and the fully opening glass doors on two sides ensure that this room has a bright and airy ambiance.

Sliding wooden doors to the back of this room open to reveal a bedroom with two sets of bunk-beds for four children, and to the left a door takes you into the master suite.

The master suite features fitted wardrobes with wood and frosted glass doors, a large bed on a raised platform and a water hyacinth sofa. The room is accessorised with natural tones of brown and cream and has two eye-catching modern paintings. The master bedroom's en-suite bathroom has twin chrome hand basins on a black granite top, a corner Jacuzzi bathtub and also a walk-in shower.

Back in the lounge of this second pavilion, wall hangings and modern artworks lead you up the floating wooden steps to the gallery, which has a table and chairs and also a door leading into the next bedroom. This is another double suite with similar natural décor to the master bedroom, an en-suite shower room with twin chrome wash basins set on a wooden top, and beautiful views over the property and out to the ocean.

The summer low tide season means that the reef on this beach is exposed for up to 100m, creating a large flat expanse of beach for rock pool exploration for the children.
