Poppies

Poppies restaurant is renowned for fine Thai and international cuisine in a romantic tropical garden and seaside setting.

Guests can choose to dine under the stars, by the sea or in an Ayuthaya-style teak pavilion overlooking the pool. Poppies is the perfect destination for a Chrsitmas celebration, although reservations in advance are needed for Christmas dinner.

Complimentary eggnog is served upon entry – some can be served without brandy so no one misses out. A traditional dinner of butterball turkey with dried apricot and pecan nut stuffing is accompanied by chipolatas wrapped in bacon, fresh vegetables, a choice of roast or mashed potato and either gravy or cranberry sauce.

SALA Samui

In addition to the traditional turkey, SALA Samui offers a seafood buffet to start, a dessert bar to finish and a separate children’s menu is available.

Guests are under the care of international chefs, live music by resident musician Mark James will play in the background and then the evening’s entertainment includes a Thai dance performance by the children of SALA Samui’s staff.

This is a fantastic way to combine some well-loved Christmas traditions with a touch of Thai culture.

Nikki Beach

For something a little more laid back, try going to Nikki Beach for a buffet lunch. The holiday favourites, such as turkey, are served, but dishes such as cottage pie and sushi are also on the menu.

The pool, the loud music and the signature Nikki Beach mojitos always attract a crowd, which means there will be at least 300 new people with whom to celebrate Christmas. Maybe plans could be made for New Year’s’ Eve with new friends!

Tesco -Lotus

Because Thailand is not a Christian country, Christmas is not observed as a national holiday.

This means that all the stores will remain open as usual. If your guests are in the mood for a laid back Christmas with all their favourite treat, visit Tesco-Lotus on Christmas Day to pick up candy canes, a good selection of cheeses and Christmas Pudding.
