Coco Splash Adventure & Water Park

For endless water-filled fun head to Coco Splash Adventure & Water Park. This park offers 10,000 m2 of fun and thrilling water slides sure to have the whole family in fits of giggles. In addition to the water park, Coco Splash features thrill-seeking activities such as bungee trampoline, air bag jump and a tree-to-tree adventure involving aerial rope courses and ziplines. Little adventurers will leave this park happy, exhausted and with their hearts racing. To get there, turn left at the McDonald’s sign located off Samui Ring Road.

Koh Samui Football Golf

This popular game was born in Koh Samui and is fast becoming well known around the world. The concept is a fusion of football and golf in which players try to steer a football into the 18 holes around the course in as few strokes as possible – using their feet instead of clubs. This group game offers fun for all the family with the chance to enjoy a refreshing tropical garden walk around the exquisite coconut plantation that forms the ‘course’. The course itself adds up to 1,500 metres and usually takes around an hour to complete. When you’ve completed the course you’ll get a trophy key ring with your personal score as a souvenir. You can also book a transfer as the course has its own pickup truck. Samui Football Golf is located on the Beach Road just 10 minutes north of Chaweng and close to our Koh Samui villas.

Elephant Trekking in Koh Samui

Little ones will love elephant trekking in Koh Samui. The island’s verdant and hilly interior boasts endless array of natural attractions which is a pleasant surprise for its visitors of all ages. Kids can take in the island’s magnificent wildlife and tropical interior whilst riding their favourite animal, stopping at refreshing waterfalls along the way along the way. An elephant tour in Koh Samui takes visitors through the jungle, along rivers and past exciting sights with plenty of places to dismount along the way.

Koh Samui Aquarium & Tiger Zoo

Kids of all ages will delight at the Koh Samui Aquarium and Tiger Zoo. Here you can get up-close and personal with wild animals in a ultra-safe setting. Spot sharks, manta rays and catfish, or complete marine encounters by feeding sea turtles. If seeing Bengal tigers performing feats of agility is not thrilling enough, for a few extra Baht, visitors can have their picture taken with these impressive animals or even feed their cubs a bottle of milk. Chaweng Town

Koh Samui offers plenty of family-friendly locations, especially during the day as opposed to the livelier evening adventures in the island’s more popular towns. Older children and teenagers will adore Chaweng with its great shopping, snack bars and restaurants, busy beach and excellent entertainment. The best beaches here are great for families, for those with young children head to Mae Nam and Bo Phut where you’ll find gentle waves, footpaths wide enough for strollers and plenty of other families to provide playmates for your little ones.

Festivals in Koh Samu

Thai Festivals are an important part of daily life on Koh Samui are are great fun for all the family. The larger celebrations are Chinese New Year in February, Songkran (Thai New Year) in April and Loi Krathong (Festival of Light) in November. Songkran is held between the 13th – 15th April, celebrated with an annual water festival across Thailand. There are rules of conduct as well as traditional aspects but, for the lucky tourist, it’s basically a massive three day water fight.

Temple Fairs

Koh Samui’s renowned Temple fairs take place throughout the year, passing from village to village. Popular with locals of all ages, the larger ones combine a fun fair with live entertainment, market stalls, and local food. The temple fair is probably the only place where you can buy a new pair of flip flops, watch a Kung Fu film, have your fortune told, and indulge in a bag of deep-fried grasshoppers all in one evening. A first on any kid’s vacation itinerary!
