The Park Avenue arcade is home to plenty of plush boutiques, a cigar outlet, a Jim Thompson silk shop, a Bookazine branch, a skin care store, pub, pizzeria and much more. Occasionally there’ll be live jazz performances outside the arcade, plus there’s a children’s play area to keep little ones entertained while you shop.

Just outside the airport it’s well worth making a stop at the world-famous Samui Robot Group. This factory outlet shop sells unique Alien and Predator style creatures built from used car and motorcycle parts.

Despite their super-scary appearance these real-life robots are a true testament to Thai handicraft skills.
